This Shipping & Delivery Policy is issued by Rain Guardian Pty Ltd (ABN: 23 152 130 375) trading as SUV Caravans (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”). We understand that delivering large recreational vehicles requires careful planning and coordination. This policy outlines our available delivery options for caravans and camper trailers across Australia.

1. Dealership Pickup (Recommended)

We highly recommend collecting your caravan or camper trailer directly from one of our dealership locations. This allows you to:

  • Receive a comprehensive handover and orientation from our expert team
  • Inspect the vehicle thoroughly before taking possession
  • Ask questions and get familiar with all features and functions
  • Save on delivery costs

2. Freight Delivery (Available Upon Request)

For customers unable to collect from a dealership, we can arrange professional freight delivery across Australia. Due to the size and value of our vehicles, delivery costs vary based on:

  • Delivery location and distance from nearest dealership
  • Vehicle size, weight, and type
  • Access conditions at delivery address
  • Delivery timeframe requirements

3. Delivery Timeframes

Delivery timeframes vary based on your location and vehicle availability:

  • In-stock vehicles: Dealership pickup available immediately after purchase completion
  • Freight delivery: Typically 1-4 weeks depending on location and freight schedule
  • Custom orders: Delivery times provided at time of order

We will provide you with an estimated delivery timeframe once your delivery details are confirmed and payment has been processed.

4. Delivery Area Coverage

We can arrange freight delivery to most locations across Australia, including:

  • Queensland (all major cities and regional areas)
  • Northern Territory (Darwin and major regional centers)
  • Victoria (Melbourne and surrounding regions)
  • Other Australian states (by arrangement)

Note: Remote or difficult-to-access locations may require specialized transport arrangements. Additional fees may apply for off-road or restricted-access delivery addresses.

5. Delivery Process

When arranging freight delivery:

  1. Contact our team for a delivery quote
  2. We coordinate with professional transport companies
  3. You receive delivery date confirmation
  4. Vehicle is professionally secured and transported
  5. Delivery arranged at your specified address
  6. Full documentation and handover materials provided

6. Delivery Requirements & Handover

To ensure smooth delivery and a complete handover:

  • Clear access for large transport vehicles at delivery address
  • Someone 18+ available to accept delivery and sign all handover documentation
  • Street or driveway has adequate clearance for manoeuvring
  • Any access restrictions (gates, overhanging trees, etc.) communicated in advance
  • All deliveries are made only during weekday business hours — no deliveries or collections on Saturdays or Sundays
  • Thorough pre-delivery inspection must be completed before taking possession — any issues must be noted at this time
  • Storage fee: If your unit is ready for collection and not collected within 24 hours of being advised, SUV Caravans may charge a reasonable storage fee at its discretion

7. Insurance & Risk

All vehicles transported via our arranged freight services are fully insured during transit. In the unlikely event of damage during delivery, claims are processed through the transport company's insurance. Please inspect the vehicle carefully upon delivery and note any concerns on the delivery documentation.

Important — Risk Transfers at Delivery

Risk of damage to or loss of your caravan or camper trailer and its accessories passes to you at the point of delivery. You are responsible for arranging appropriate insurance on or before delivery. SUV Caravans strongly recommends ensuring your insurance is in place before taking possession of your unit.

8. Returns Transport

In the event that a return is approved, the Purchaser is responsible for all transport costs associated with returning the product to the place of manufacture or purchase. This includes:

  • All freight, towing, and transport costs to return the product
  • All insurance costs during the return journey
  • Any associated fees for towing or travel time

Returns must be delivered to the SUV Caravans Dealership during weekday business hours only. Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for full return conditions, including the 24-hour return window and 20% restocking fee.
